    Enhance your skills as a fiction writer and make progress with your manuscript with my monthly one-on-one coaching. I’ll be your dedicated partner to help you navigate your story ideas, set goals, and celebrate your successes. Whether you need help with plot, character development or writing motivation, our sessions will be tailored to your unique needs.

    I’ll give you expert feedback and practical advice so that you can create a compelling story and enjoy your writing routine.

    You’ll submit work to me twice a month, which I’ll read and provide detailed feedback on. Then we’ll have two 60 minute calls a month to discuss your writing, my feedback and decide next steps.

What is a book coach?

As your book coach, I’ll provide you with practical, honest feedback and support as you work toward completing a strong draft of your novel. I am not a therapist! But, I will listen and believe in you. Our time together will help you tackle edits and build confidence in your writing.

How do I know if I’m ready for a book coach or developmental editor?

Not sure if your story idea is really a solid idea? Or if your draft is ready for a developmental edit? I’d be happy to talk it through in a FREE 15-minute discovery call. No obligation to book my services! I love talking to writers, so it would make my day regardless. And I want you to be completely sure before making this investment.

What is a developmental edit?

In a developmental edit of a fiction manuscript, I thoroughly review structure, character development, plot, and themes, without correcting grammar or typos. My goal is to align your manuscript with your vision and help you create a compelling story. I provide feedback through in-line comments on your manuscript and a detailed, actionable editorial letter.

Where will we meet?

I hold all my calls on Zoom. I can record our calls and make them available to you after each session, if you’d like. And I always send a post-call email summarising our discussion. You’ll also receive written feedback for the submissions you provide me.

What do you specialise in?

I work with beginner fiction writers who are writing upmarket fiction and/or romance. Those are broad categories! So, I’ll add that I specialise in stories with a core message or theme, strong characters and considered writing. If you want those elements to be core to your writing, then get in touch!
